Thomas Hellriegel und Lisa Hütthaler erringen Sieg bei der Premiere des TriStar Kufstein
|
15.07.2012 @ 16:14

The water temperature is 24 degrees today at the Heschtee lake! so it's very probably that tomorrow during the race wetsuits will not be allowed. Anyway, Marshalls will take the final decission tomorrow morning before the start. So stay tuned and ask to the Marshalls and Orga Team what's going on. ;)
The opinion of Pro Lothar Leder
|
14.07.2012 @ 12:30
THE OPINION OF PRO TRIATHLETE LOTHAR LEDER:
"I rode the bike course with organizer Stephan Richter. The Kustein TriStar Triathlon starts with a swim in the Hechtsee, its on top of a 1km climb and the lake looks like a swim Stadium with green water to me. You never leave the alp panorama. After downhill from Hechtsee you climb up to Thiersee. The first part of the bike is hilly but after you hit 30km mark it gets flat and fast. The run takes place at the Inn River and in the old town of Kufstein, always on the buttom of Kufstein Fortress. It is a special run at this world famous scenery and your family members can always be in touch with you during the run".

There has to be pointed out that there is a project that is called „Sun Island“, which is supposed to be the first medical center for maintenance in Salzburg for young former cancer patients in Austria. Every cent helps children and parents who share a very difficult destiny.
Charity Race Kufstein
The Charity race is an event for everyone. Every person interested on running is invited to participate in the 5 km distance race and bring friends and colleagues willing to do something good, getting a lot of fun, experiencing the original TriStar Kufstein track. There will also be a perfect opportunity for companies to prove what their staff and workers can achieve when it comes to fitness competition and promote the company.

TriStar Kufstein Pro Field
The picturesque and diverse scenery of the Kaiser mountains and the Inn valley, the perfect infrastructure at the event venues in the city of Kufstein and the booming local triathlon scene offers an incredible variety of facets. It’s going to be an interesting race with a strong pro field such as the Italian Alberto Casadei, who won TriStar Salzkammergut this year with an impressive bike performance, Germans Lothar Leder (first man finishing under 8 hours in Ironman), Thomas Hellriegel (winner of the TriStar Estonia), Joseph Spindler, Diana Riesler and Jens Kaiser. Also there will be some Austrian professional fighting for the victory. ‘Local hero’ Ute Streiter, second in Ironman Regensburg, is one of the favourites.
Christian Birngruber, succesfull duathlete Ulrike Schwalbe, Christian Troger, Andrej Vistica, Daniel Herlbauer, Jan Rehula and TriStar Ambassador Till Schramm (who finished third on the last TriStar Worms-Germany).
Also, top-athlete Andi Fuchs will be lined up on the water start! The Austrian triathlete is looking for a new victory!
Plus to the Women Pro Start List, Christine Liebendörfer and Lisa Hütthaler, second in TriStar Cannes and TriStar Salzkammergut, will fight for the victory!!!

The rest can be checked online.
We'll try to follow through the day's events and keep you updated throughout Sunday.
On Sunday... Race day!!!
