Phil Mosley #12 (AUS): His aim is to come in the Top10. But he is a little bit afraid of the bike course:"I took a look at the cycling course and despite cycling is my strongest discipline I am afraid if I don't have the right bike with me. There are very steep climbs and ambitious downhill parts." The most important thing for him is to have a great time: "I'm looking forward to have a nice evening with friends after the race. Monaco is a great place for a competition like this."
Good Luck, Phil!
David Somerville #496
04.09.2010 @ 18:31

David Sommerville from New Zealand made a lot of races over the last years: "It's early season for me, so I just want to finish, that's all. David likes the TriStar format: "It's a good distance, especially for cycling specialists. Next year I want to do the TriStar222 Sardinia."
Katharina Schroll #221
04.09.2010 @ 17:28

Katharina Schroll from Austria is actually spending her holidays with her husband at the Cote d'Azur. Because she needs some excitement as well, she decided to do the TriStar111 Monaco. It's not her first Triathlon but her longest one: "I already completed a lot of short distance Triathlons and I'm a little bit afraid of the very demandig and mountainous cycling course." Don't worry Katharina, you will do it!
Good Luck!
Mauro Milani #536
04.09.2010 @ 16:45

Triathlon sport belongs to his life. Mauro Milani from Italy participated in every existing Triathlon format. The TriStar111 is his first one. "I chose this race because of the beauty of Monaco. My aim: I want to enjoy the competition, have fun and do it under 5 hours." Mauro has good chances to do this. He has got his whole family with him. I'm very excited about tomorrow and this new format."

Button and Wurz at the TriStar Media Center
04.09.2010 @ 14:16

Jenson Button and Alex Wurz are starting together with Nico Rosberg. Today they just picked up their stuff for tomorrow's competition at the EXPO in Larvotto. Alex Wurz, former LeMans-Champion is going for the cycling part and is glad to be at the start of TriStar111 Monaco: "I'm a resident of Monaco and I know every potthole of the bike course." About his expectations he means: "I didn't have time to exercise that much, but I think I have got quite good basics. I'm doing this just for fun."
Due to his weight (about 80kg) the mountainous bike course is not ideal for him. But he hopes that the cycling won't take him longer than 3:25 hours. "First I wanted to do the whole race on my own. But in the last weeks I spoke to Jenson Button and Nico Rosberg and they wanted to do the TriStar111 Monaco as well. So we decided to start in a relay team. All in all I hope that we can finish the race in about 4:30 hours."

Celebrities
04.09.2010 @ 14:05

Due to the participating celebrities like Paul Belmondo, Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg, Thierry Bourguignon and others the race will even be more interesting.
Paul Belmondo, the french race driver, actor and son of Jean Paul Belmondo knows the course but he doesn’t see this fact as an advantage: “When I was driving I was more concentrated on the curves. In the last months I worked very hard on my cycling and swimming skills but not so hard for the run. Let’s see what the Raceday brings.”

If you are already in Monaco, you might even have seen it: the Star Events Truck has arrived! Well, this would not be such a special event if it was not Monaco. Trucks that size are not allowed in the Principality as they block roads. Thanks to the great support TriStar111 Monaco gets from the authorities, we could drive that truck down right to the event area. Currently our construction team is unpacking the material that is inside this truck that travels around Europe: transition racks for the bags, the racks where you will park your bikes and all the branding that you will see built up over the next couple of days. Have fun exploring the Principality and seeing the preparations for TriStar111 Monaco unfold. And Yes, you can register for the race tomorrow starting at 9:00. See you at the Star&Co Village!

(BRA) will start in a relay team together with his Formula One collegue Bruno Senna. Having finished as runner-up to Timo Glock in the 2007 GP2 Series season, he is starting for the new Formula One team Virgin Racing, alongside his former rival Glock.
La Rascasse is going to be one of the locations along the F1 circuit in Monaco that you will always have a fond memory of (at least we hope so!).
Three days of fun, environmental protection and social responsibility in the Principality lie ahead
Here we are in TriStar111 Monaco race week... and it's not the only place where Star Production is working! ;) The first of a series of events that will be announced for 2011 has just been launched: TriStar111 Nevis on 2 APR 2011 on Nevis island.

TriStarLive.com will be covering TriStar111 Monaco on 5 September 2010 live out of the Principality of Monaco.
